Due Diligence

Due Diligence

In a competitive market, in-depth background information is essential to enable management to make the correct decisions vital to an organizations development, profitability and even its very existence. Due diligence is an essential part of most transactions and provides piece of mind to both buyer and investor. There is a danger, however, that it may delay the conclusion of a deal if it is not carefully monitored. The time and costs involved can, at times, increase as new issues or problems are identified leading to some potential sellers losing interest in the deal because the process has been overly slow or intrusive.

For most Corporations today, probity and background screening is a very important component to consider when looking to purchase, merge or expand. The huge savings to be made in shifting manufacturing to the Far East and other developing nations means that number of organist ions using third party manufacturers and licensees to produce their goods has increased dramatically in recent years.

However, the integrity of these licensees and sub-contracted manufacturers is sometimes called into question. Problems with product diversion, overruns and supplying third parties with copies or components can often be traced back to these third party factories who have decided to breach their agreements.

By undertaking covert factory audits we can assist clients that wish to proactively monitor the integrity of their third party manufacturers who are under suspicion of bad practice.

We work to allow organizations to maximize opportunities and have seen a sharp increase in the level of cross border instructions, particularly those involving emerging markets.
